K-Club: This preschool program for children ages 4-5 will help prepare them for entering kindergarten. They meet every Wednesday from 10am to 12pm. The last gathering for the school years will be June 5th, 2024. We will resume on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024.
Summer Reading: Stop in to pick up your bookmark starting June 12th, 2024. Pre-k to 2nd grade students will read 5 hours while 3rd to 6th grade students will read 10 hours to earn a prize ticket. Teens read 10 hours for each prize ticket, and adults earn one ticket per book they read. (Limit of 5 tickets per week.) And don’t miss our Summer Reading gatherings beginning Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 from 10-11(ish) for all students in grades pre-k thru 6th.
Fair Project Work Day: The Benewah County Fair just around the corner! Join us on July 13th from 12 -2 to create your projects. Painting, drawing, building with 3D pens, crafting, scrapbooking… we’ll have many of the supplies needed to get you ready to enter that fabulous project!
Summer STEM: Following the five weeks of Summer Reading, we’ll meet for three more weeks at the same time and same place, Wednesdays from 10-11(ish), for some fantastic STEM activities beginning July 31, 2024. All students pre-k thru 6th grade are invited to attend.
End of Summer Celebration Week: Don’t miss this week of celebration from August 19th – 24th, 2024! There is a fun event every day of the week. Join us for painting, LEGO Olympics, outdoor games and more! The week will culminate with our annual BBQ and Summer Reading prize drawing on Saturday August 24, 2024. Activities run from 12-2 every day. Hope to see you here!

- Copy and Fax service – Copies are $.10 per page. Color Copies are $.25 per page. Outgoing faxes are $.25 per page. Incoming faxes are $1.00 total.
- Hight-Speed Internet Access with WiFi – 4 public computers and access for WiFi capable laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices. WiFi is available free of charge. Wi-Fi access is available from our parking lot from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The network is “Tricomm”. No password is required.
- Calendar – Every month a new library events calendar is available in the library or the Fernwood Merc. If you would prefer to have one mailed to you at home, please contact us and we would be happy to do so. The monthly calendar will also be posted on our Facebook page.
- Notary Public – Available most Wednesdays and Thursdays. No fee
- CIN Interlibrary Loan – Using the website http://catalog.cin.bywatersolutions.com/ you can access our full catalog of books as well as other CIN libraries. Books can be put on hold through the website. Unless you have changed it since receiving your library card, your password is your last name all in capital letters.
- Proctor Testing
- Donations – We gladly accept donations of hardcover books, DVD’s and BluRay. Sorry, we no longer accept paper back books or VHS tapes.
- X-Box Series X: Bring in your own controller or use one of ours. We have a variety of games available to play! Offered most days but Wednesday mornings during K-Club.
Along with books of all genres, we also offer DVDs & BluRay, audio books, large print books, games, and video games for check out. Don’t miss the Library of Things with all sorts of items including an acoustic guitar, folding piano, waffle cone maker, microscope, balance scale with brass weights, sewing machine, kitchen skills kit and so much more!
